Mission and vision:

    Apple's original logo featured a quote from Wordsworth that could be a nice vision statement

Its mission is bringing the best personal computing experience to students, educators, creative professionals and consumers around the world through its innovative hardware, software and Internet offerings.

List of projects:

1. ITunes system
Users can use the ITunes system for free, they can get the accumulate points by downloading music and movies. At the same time users will be asked to                         evaluate the ITunes system and give the suggestion for the improvement.

2. Ipad experience project
Show some Ipad showpieces to customer.

3. Discount project.
When the people buy another apple produces, they can use a little money to buy an Iphone 4.

4. New products and design
Add the bankroll to make some new products and design to attract more potential customers to buy.

5. Free use 7 days.
Some qualified customer who gets enough membership points can choose an apple computer to use 7days for free, but they cannot mangle them. It is a promotion process to encourage more customers to get points.

Key project-Focus on Itunes

Itunes:
Itunes is a software that can play and manage media files. It can also organize the contents on Apple’s products such as ipod, iphone and ipad. Consumers can connect to the iTunes Store by iTunes Store and they can buy and download music, films and other media files. Moreover, programmers have the permit to sell their applications on iTunes Store and consumers can upload their podcasts to iTunes Store as well.

The key project to achieve the company’s mission is to add some new functions to  Itunes.
The new function is a points system. This system provides points to consumers when they download contents from iTunes Store. Once they have enough points, consumers can exchange the points for paid products. The points systems can help to stimulate consumption and increase the interaction between consumers and iTunes.

  1. There is some good content here, in particular with your assessment of ITUNES. The slept factors are mentioned, you could expand a bit more on those, so that people understand more specifically how the projects related to ITUNES respond to the mission of Apple. Next lecture(s)we will explore how to get from the mission to projects in more detail.
