According to the “wave of change”, (Chaffey, 2009, p.194) we can know that pop culture change most frequently in the environment. So the popularity of the Apple products influence the customers perceptions in purchasing the commodities.

Economic Factors
What Apple can afford?
According to the reputation and popularity of Apple, at present apple aims to expand the customers and innovate the technology and functions of Apple to attract more potential customers.
What can customers afford
-Product
Iphone became the most popular product among all kinds of products, but like IPad is not as affordable as iphone because of the higher cost as iphone.
-Application downloading and maintenance
Not every customers can afford everything on ITunes, customer usually focus on the most popular games and the target albums which they like. If the application and games can be supplied in a lower prise or some discounts, that is the key point to attract more customer to consume on Apple products.
Technological
The most attractive aspect of Apple is his perfect combination of different electronic products.
At the same time, a variety of interesting application and games, the small iphone can provide thousand functions for work, life and fun.
Although, innovation of the technology also aims to reduce the prise of product to make it more available for more customers, In addition, develop more functions is the sustainable determination of Apple. There is no doubt; some customers are looking forward to the Iphone5 and Ipad 2.
You had a good try at identifying SLEPT factors. I like the Social analysis, and the diagram of Legal and Ethical factors, you could have explained bit more the diagram. Regarding Technology, you are right, Apple is setting a technology trend of mobile and friendly use at your fingertips. What this has also generated is an immense interest in mobile devices, which goes beyond what Apple can control in my view. So there is scope for companies to tap into the mobile devices market and mobile applications as a way of following that trend.
ReplyDeleteKind regards,
just by coincidence I have listened to some remarks made by a lawyer about legal aspects of technology, it seems there are different ways to protect the intellectual property of new products or services. Copyrights, patents, exclusivity and other strategies are being used by companies to make sure they do not get copied by others. I wonder how Apple does this, and how they can produce very similar but different products within their own range of technologies (ipod, iphone). I had a look at ipods yesterday, they seem to be so similar to each other (the different generations of ipod), and similar to the new iphones, so it is difficult to make a difference, what do you guys think?
ReplyDeleteThanks afain for the analysis, it is very interesting :p, take care, JR
